FEW Faculty Fellow Program Aplication Form
The NSF grant for the INFEWS-ER includes support for the FEW Faculty Fellows Program. We have created different types of Faculty Fellows — Faculty Team Members and Faculty Leaders — who create Toolbox Modules and Cohort Challenges for the INFEWS-ER Virtual Resource Center and who participate in a Symposium to describe their preparation of those modules. Below, we describe the criteria, stipend, and other kinds of support for this Faculty Fellow Program.
FEW FACULTY LEADERS
- Provide leadership for the development of Toolbox Modules or Cohort Challenges
- Evaluate student work in INFEWS-ER activities
- Participate in team activities developing and planning Toolbox Modules and Cohort Challenges, including attending team meetings, reviewing materials, etc.
- Attend symposia and other INFEWS-ER events
Support
- Stipend of $5000
- Travel support to INFEWS-ER events
- Access to assistance with online course design and development
FEW FACULTY TEAM MEMBERS
- Makes a significant contribution to the development of Toolbox Modules or Cohort Challenges
- Participate in team activities developing and planning Toolbox Modules and Cohort Challenges, including attending team meetings, reviewing materials, etc.
- Attend symposia and other INFEWS-ER events
Support
- Stipend of $2000
- Travel Support to INFEWS-ER Events
Applying for FEW Faculty Fellowship
Team Leaders
- The Team Leader will complete a form, describing the proposed Toolbox Module or Cohort Challenge, including learning outcomes, mode of delivery and method of assessment.
- The Team Leader will offer a brief presentation on the proposed content to the INFEWS-ER Management Team.
- Upon approval of the proposal, the Team Leader will work with one or more members of the Management Team to develop a timeline for delivery of the content. In addition, the Team Leader will participate regularly in teleconferences with the Management Team to provide updates on progress and seek feedback.
- The Team Leader will be invited to attend and participate in INFEWS-ER Symposia.
- Upon delivery of the final Toolbox Module or Cohort Challenge, the Team Leader will be awarded the stipend.
Team Member
- At any point in the process of developing a Toolbox Module or a Cohort Challenge, a Team Leader may nominate a candidate for recognition as a FEW Faculty Team Member. The letter of nomination should identify the special contribution made by the candidate for the development of the content. The INFEWS-ER Management Team will review the nomination and make a decision.
Upon approval, a subaward agreement; including a statement of work, budget table, and justification; will be established with your home institution.
